A warm welcome to my Blog

I shall post some news of interest to Sri lankans about life in Sri Lanka in the period 1950-1960 mainly. This will feature articles on music, general history and medicine. I am dedicated to humanism and refuse to judge people according to labels they are born with. Their actions and behaviour shall be my yardsticks, always cognizant of the challenges they faced in life.

  1. Beautifully sung by Surat as we have learnt to expect. Great backing on the Tyros. This also shows the wonderful talent of the Jay brother for the fine melody and the superbly evocative lyrics. Perrin did his internship at kurunegala and was DMO Galgamuwa and was a regular in the quarters when I was an intern. He died far too young when we lost a wonderful person with a huge talent for music and dance. His improvised ballet dancing would Make Rudolf Nureyev an amateur.
